A graduate from the University of Concordia, in Canada, her filmography explores notions of cultural diversity in the globalization era, an aspect she delves into due to her Beninese background. Her documentaries frequently address issues pertaining to transculturality and women’s issues while researching the roots of transcultural materials such as textiles thus contrasting notions of hierarchy and power with ornament and color.
