Paula Rego, one of the most reputed women artists in the world, is the godmother of ARTFEM, Women Artists International Biennial of Macau SAR.
Paula Rego sends the biennial a message:
I think it’s a marvellous idea to have a biennale for women and I’m very honoured to be asked to be the godmother. It’s about time that women got recognition for their work, they have their own stories to tell and a different perspective on the world. I hope the climate for women artists keeps improving. I send my best wishes for the whole enterprise and I’m sure it will be a great success.
Her daughter Victoria Willing will attend the opening in Macau in representation of her mother.
