Seminar Abstract
Will Things Ever Get Better?
Sharing by Xiang Jing, renowned Chinese sculptor
Xiang Jing once held an exhibition called “Will Things Ever Get Better?”. That is a question everyone might ask, especially now that the epidemic is raging. Even though there are limits to what an individual can do, his voice is still important. Or, in other words, what can we do today except speaking as individuals? Can art contribute something to human psychological civilization?
As an internationally renowned female sculptor, Xiang Jing was invited to be the Godmother of “2020 ARTFEM Women Artists International Biennial of Macau”. The organizers hope that her influence, enthusiasm and rigorous pursuit of creation can lead more female artists around the world to pursue their artistic dream and express their creativity freely. They also hope that female artists can get the same development opportunities and attention as male artists whether in poor areas or rich cities.
In this seminar, Xiang Jing will share some of her ideas during creating and some thoughts on “Natura” in the post-epidemic era. Everyone is welcome to participate.
