Mithu Sen

West Bengal

Born in West Bengal in 1971, she lives and works in New Delhi.

Mithu Sen is a conceptual artist engaged with process art. Her work explores themes which are part of our daily life, namely sexuality, identity and capitalism in transgressive forms. Her practice resists easy categorizations. Known for her often erotic and emotionally charged imagery, Sen’s work explores the line between distance and intimacy, often conveyed through what she calls “radical hospitality”.
