2020 ARTFEM, Women Artists 2nd International Biennial of Macau is themed Natura, and should run from March 8, 2020 to May 13, 2020.
However, due to the devastating Coronavirus’ outbreak—one which has paralysed life, economy, education, events, etc.,—we had to postpone the exhibition to a timelier date, to be announced as soon as possible.
ARTFEM is the brainchild of architect Carlos Marreiros, himself a visual artist from Macau. Organized by the Albergue SCM / ALBcreativeLAB and other partners, this Biennial was successfully launched in March 8th, 2018. Currently, ARTFEM is the only known art biennial exclusively for women in the world.
For this edition, we have chosen the theme Natura. Natura came as an immediate response to the current global moment, one in which we look at the grave situation of our planet.
ARTFEM 2020, Natura, will keep you informed about schedules, its participating artists, and works of art. Stay with us. We look forward to release the new ARTFEM 2020’s dates soon.
