Born 1972, Caldas da Rainha, she lives and works in Lisbon.

A mathematician and visual artist, Costa practices drawing in charcoal and sculpture as her main media. Her drawings are frequently embroidered and filled with geometric notations. Line is a fundamental motif in her compositions, which frequently delve into notations of the feminine emotional condition, including pain, heartbreak and the procurement of identity. Costa’s work has been exhibited internationally and is present in various private and public collections.
