Born 1970, in Freiburg, Germany, she lives and works in Lisbon.

A photographer since the mid-1990s, Maciulis started painting in 2000 under several masters. She is currently enrolled in a BA in Painting at the Open College of the Arts England and ArCo, in Lisbon. While her work is figurative, narrative aspects are concealed. Maciulis looks into human experiences, including its challenges and feelings and calls the viewer to complete her messages through his/her own references.
