Her visual work attempts to convey her identity and truth. Golden uses her artistic practice to negotiate her identity and belonging in the globalized world. In her questioning of duality between genders, she frequently contrasts opposites through variations of light and color. Her work frequently explores women issues especially repressed femininity, notions of self and its manifestations.
